The Day after our fun camping trip I decided it might have been more then just luck that my female monthly visitor didn't visit. A dollar store pregnancy test confirmed it! It was Tuesday, and Dave was back to work. I didn't want to tell him in an e-mail like I did the last time, (he was like "I can't believe you told me in an e-mail!") So I made a gift certificate good for one baby, redeemable May 5, 2013. I also made similar gift certificates for the grandparents.
This picture was sent to the friends that came camping with us on the end of the disc I made them containing all our camping pictures. Too bad it took them a while to look at it! :) They could have been the first to know. As it was I just told Dave I looked forward to him coming home so I could give him a gift I got him. He gets worried about me spending all our money sometimes, so just for fun I may have told him it was kind of expensive. (But truly what kid isn't?!)
Come Friday I was itching to share the news, so I gave him the gift certificate right after the boys went to bed.
We told the boys after Family Home Evening that Sunday.
Needless to say they were excited. They still change their mind about wanting a brother or sister. Good thing it's not up to them!
Here is Grandpa Van Cott opening his gift certificate for grandchild #21, at his birthday party at our house. I mailed my parents one for their #23 grandchild.
We are excited! But definitely done! Five is our magic number, boy or girl! :)

Yeah congrats! I hope you get a girl but if not like I said earlier you make beautiful boys!! I too am expecting in May and got an early ultrasound last week to measure since I measured super big (it was my first drs appt. I am bad :) not twins thank heavens baby is normal size. Anyway I found out it is a boy! Which we were hoping for because we felt our last was suppose to be a boy and since this is our last I don't have to wonder the rest of my life if we had a girl if I was suppose to have that baby boy so its perfect! I am waiting to tell Brendan for Christmas and have an outfit all picked out and ready. He doesnt know I got the ultrasound :) i still have my normal one scheduled next month so he doesn't think anything different lol. Anyway CONGRATS!! What hospital will you deliver at? Chandler?
What a cute way to tell everyone. From the certificates, to waiting until Christmas to know if it was a girl or a boy.
