Lunchtime Success!

I just have to share this since I have a feeling many of you moms may feel the same way, and if you don't I need to know your tricks!
I have felt in a lunch time rut for a long time now, it's basically either pb & j, hot dogs, mac 'n cheese or chicken nuggets. The line up would include quesadillas if my kids would eat them. So today when I asked Seth what he wanted for lunch and he replied "pizza" I had to think out of the box since I had no frozen pizza in the freezer and didn't want to spend the money to order out.
Solution: I toasted some bread and put pizza sauce, mozzarella cheese, and olives on it, then baked it till the cheese melted. Wah-la. My kids downed it, even Isaac, Mr Picky, who NEVER finishes his meals! Yeah!

So now I want some more ideas from you smart moms!

Mikey likes noodles. (Its one of the only food words he can say.) I buy the jarred spaghetti sauce so I can just use a bit and put it in the fridge for later. I also buy noodle shapes that are fun and easy for him to pick up. My favorite are the salad macaroni noodles.

I also like to make grilled cheese or (josh thinks this one is gross) toasted pb and j tortillas. I spread peanut butter and jelly on a tortilla, roll it up and put it in the toaster oven. I just love it.

Love all the pictures Julie. Sorry about Seth's lack of naptime. I can relate. As for lunchtime. Brigham and Aubrey both like black beans (from the can) Aubrey likes melted cheese on the top of hers. Other than that, we have pretty much the same lunch menu items as you.
