Happy Happy Birthday Isaac! & Little Mozart

We celebrated the Friday before Isaac's birthday    I took treats into his class room, I brought in pudding cups and improvised mud cups (one of Isaac's favorite treats) with cool whip, a worm and an Oreo cookie on top.  It was quick and a big hit, and I dare say and less messy then getting cup cake crumbs everywhere!  He loved it, and that's all that matters anyway!

That night we went to Makutu's Island with our good friends.  This place is a giant tree house/ maze place with things to climb, zip line down, and slide.  An active boys dream tree house! It is actually quite easy to loose children in this thing! I managed to get up and through it even though my belly was a bit in the way, it was still so fun!
Afterwards we headed over to our friends house and had cake.
They gave Isaac a Green Lantern  he had been wanting, so nice guys thanks!!!
Here's the crew:  everyone has an age mate just a few months apart.
And for the big day, he wanted to wear his school birthday hat to church. I thought about it for a second since it was just stake conference, but decided against it, Church is about learning about Jesus, not advertising our birthday! :)
After Church Isaac got his bean bag, now all the boys that care to have one, have one! All is right in the world again for these boys! :)
Thank you Grandma & Granddad!  We love birthday mail from you!!!
That night we invited our local grandparents, and great grandma over for one of Isaac's favorite dinners (empanadas) and strawberry short cake for dessert.
This is the cookie cake our primary president makes, so nice, and we are happy to have a crowd to share with!!
Isaac, we love you dude! Happy 6th!

After the birthday festivities the focus turned a bit to Seth, which Isaac was such a good sport about.  This was the night of his first piano recital.  Seth has been taking piano for about a year now.  He was the only student to have two pieces to play that night.  The first (featured in the video below) was Joy to the World.
The second was a duet with his teacher: Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer.
His teacher told a story about Seth before they started.  Basically when he performance ready with Joy to the World he still had a few weeks till the recital so she suggested a duet and explained what it was.  Seth was game and said "ok, let DO ET!"

The whole birthday party crowd came along.  It was really a fun night.
Ms. Hailey is such a sweet girl, she has been teaching Seth since she was a Sr. in high school.  She is soon to be 19, and we will be sad to loose her as a piano teacher, but happy to that she plans to serve a mission.
Sorry about the video quality, I was trying to film and hold a wiggly baby at the same time, plus I started late, but you get the jist. :)
