What ELSE Keeps Me Busy

Cub Scouts! Yeah, I love Cub Scouts. Yes, it can be A LOT of work, and yes it can take up A LOT of precious time. BUT when you develop a relationship where you are in a position to help and guide those boys closer to being good men, it's worth it. These are the ladies I get to work with. I feel really lucky to have them, they are the best den mothers you could ask for!
I look forward to when I have cubbies! :)And Running, which I admit has taken a back seat lately, unfortunately. But for a while and again very soon, I got out there with my good friend regularly. Her 11 yr old son watched my guys and we hit the pavement generally 3 times a week about 5-7 miles at a time.
It was out running for exercise with her that made it possible for me to be ready when my Bro. in law asked if I could be a substitute for his relay team of 12 for the Ragnar race. Some one backed out and gave her spot to me, I was glad to be able to do it. It was so fun, even though running every 6 hours, and not sleeping well in hotels as your team shares the 203 mile coarse does not sound like my normal idea of fun!
Here I am about to start my 2nd leg. First two legs were about 3.5 miles, and my last leg ended up being 7 miles, by mistake. Kind of a long story. But tons of fun and good exercise, I think I was hungry for 3 days straight after that though! It was funny to see a sea of white 13 passenger vans and crazy costumes of themed teams. I would do this again in a heart beat, provided I am not pregers, oh and speaking of kids thanks again Jenny for watching mine! (on your birthday no less!)
