October

I got in touch with my domestic side this month. I caned one box of peaches and two boxes of pears. I used a little raspberry and peppermint extract and wow! I am actually looking forward to canning next year! This month's theme in cub scouts was jungle safari, so I made some animal cupcakes I found on the internet. In case you can't tell they are tigers, zebras, lions and monkeys. They went pretty fast!
Isaac helped me decorate for Halloween while Seth was at pre school. He was pretty proud of himself! I love the alone time I get with this guy!
Funny, same outfit from the last picture. I guess I like Isaac in brown. Here we are on the carousel at the zoo. A friend was nice enough to take us and let us use some of their passes. We had fun, and none of the kids ever really reached the tired bratty stage, which to me is pretty miraculous for an outing at the zoo!
Seth found an inch worm on our stroller. It's on his thumb, I hope it liked the plant we put him on!
There was a crazy busy week for Dave when he didn't get to see the kids from a Tuesday night to a Saturday night due to work, school and a scout camp out. So we visited him at work and went to lunch. It was quite the sight to see us in the restaurant during business lunch hour! But it was fun, these boys sure love their daddy!
Since the boys couldn't go on the above mentioned camp out, I set up a tent for them in Seth's room. They loved it and actually went to sleep pretty well. :)
HAPPY HALLOWEEN! Well for most of us anyway! :) Owen wasn't quite feeling the bumble bee, even though we hooked him up with a cute lady bee and a sweet ride! What a cry baby!
These guys on the other hand. . . I think the picture speaks for it's self! I'm just sad these are post trick or treating pictures, now you can't see the awesome go-T I penciled on Isaac's face!
Hope you all had a fun, safe Halloween too. And are as ready as I am for the real holidays! :)

Way to go with the canning! I need to catch that bug...I tried to last year, but after spending an ENTIRE day making applesauce and fighting kids, I realized I only had 16 jars by the end of the day. That was the equivalent of $32 worth of WalMart applesauce...about $3 dollars an hour...I think I cried.

Your boys are so darling!

Loved how the cupcakes turned out! The kids looked so cute! I love Halloween for the very reason that the kids get so excited and love their costumes. Benji was a bee too!
