There couldn't have been a better way to start out our 3 day, 2 night, camping excursion then with a hard rain fall followed by a fabulous rainbow. Every time I see one it reminds me of Gods promise to Noah and of his love for me. I should warn you that I always get emotional around the 4th of July. I am grateful for my freedom and for the men and women who gave, and are still giving, their lives to protect it! And what better way to celebrate then big colorful, explosions in the sky set to patriotic music!!!

We went to a large park in Payson to hang out and see the fire works set off over a little lake. We went with Dave's sister and family and some friends of theirs in their ward. Here Seth is getting into the mood! :)

I had cute little matching plaid shorts for them to wear also but didn't want to take them camping to get ruined, but aren't they cute! :)

Proof that food really does taste better camping! If you can't tell those are Cheeto's that got spilled and instead of letting them go to waste these considerate kids pitched in to help clean up the mess. Isaac is a little uncertain he wants to help though.

Of coarse we had rain, lots of it! Here we all are huddled under a little shade canopy trying to avoid the huge rain drops. It was nice though, I love rain, and AZ needs it bad, and it kept us in close quarters, well most of us.

I included this picture so you could see the raging torrent running behind us. If you know Seth you know he is up to making friends anytime, anywhere. So when he saw a bunch of kids playing in that river, he decided thats where he should be too.

This isn't even half of how wet he got! He saw a teenager slip and fall face first into that river, so of coarse monkey see, monkey do! Next thing we know Seth is diving face first into that river. He started a huge crowd following suite. Good thing we had extra cloths and PJ's.

If you can't tell, it was a loooooooooooong day!

I have to say, I did take this by myself, and it's tricky to try to take your own picture while looking away. But this is how we watched fire works, seth pluging his ears the whole time and me taking advantage of the snuggles. :)

On our last day we painted prayer rocks. Fun, cheep, and not too messy. It taught me a thing or two about Seth, he did such a great job and didn't get paint everywhere like I thought he would and knew exactly how he wanted it to look. Too fun!

We had a great time! And got home no worse for the wear! It's becoming tradition for me to forget to take a picture of us and our tent, but oh well, next time! I love camping and the fourth of July!
