I Kinda Tagged Myself
What is his name? David Seth Van Cott
How long did you date? 5 years, kinda. It all started when I was visiting family in AZ and my cousin took me along to his 18th b-day party. I was 15.
Who said I love you first? I think I did. It was in a letter to him on his mission. Lame I know but the ending graduated from sincerely, luv ya, to love you, then I felt guilty after he said it too (since it's not very mission-ish) so it went back to sincerely. But he was the first and only one to here that from me!
Who is smarter? Who's to tell? We both have our strengths.
Who does the laundry? I do. I do it all, all the time. It is one of the chores I really kinda like!
Who does the dishes? I do. Unless I bribe him to do them while I bathe the boys. :)
Who sleeps on the right? If you're facing the bed I do. If you're lying down in the bed he does.
Who pays the bills? I do. It hasn't always been that way, but I pay closer attention to detail and when we had to scrape together every last penny we had in order to avoid interest on a credit card that would have been 12 months interest free. . . I took the reigns on bills about that time.
Who mows the lawn? He does. I did in UT when he was working out of town for a few months, and randomly after that just for exercise, but he claims the lawn mowing duties, and I am grateful for it!
Who cooks dinner? I do. But he lets me get away with going out more often then we should!
Who drives when you are together? He does. Call me a anti-feminist, but is just seems like the way it should be.
Who kissed who first? Tie. It was during another trip to AZ. On a walk at night, in a park by his parents house. (One we now play at often) I was the last action he had before his mission. I later that night asked if it was a scam, and he was genuinely hurt by it, so cute! just the answer I was looking for!
Who asked out who first? Um. . . I guess he did. After his birthday party, and we were about to leave he asked for my address. We got to be pen palls, and got together as time went on.
Who's more stubborn? Me for sure, no doubt! I probably married the most humble guy ever. Unless you are involved in any kind of competition, then it's a whole other story!
How did he propose? On a drive up the canyon in AZ. "The spot" turned out to have be recently ravished by forest fire and we had to hike along the rim for any kind of aesthetic appeal. I was not forewarned and was wearing 2" flip flops and capris. Also we were driving on fumes since Dave likes to push the limits of his gas tank. We got to a suitable new spot. By now he knew that I knew it was coming so he didn't do it. Until I was thoroughly convinced he changed his mind and wasn't going to do it at all. At that moment he did it, and the rest is history!
I took the challenge for this tag from Bryn S. and would also like to extend the invitation for all those who read this to do it too! It might help you rekindle some romantic feelings just in time for Valentines Day!

How sweet are you for offering your maternity clothes. While I totally trust that they are cute (you always look cute) I did go out and get some more. But, thank you for thinking of me. Wish y'all were back up here.
I love hearing the story again of how you met, etc. I was your roommate during some of those years, so I feel special! :)
I'll take you up on the TAG, sounds fun.
Miss you!, Happy V Day.
Wow! Dave really robed the cradle! 15 years old?? That is crazy that you met your husband at 15. Especially seeing how I didn't meet mine until I was 26! Happy Valentine's Day.
I loved the story! How romantic!
I might eventually do that on my site. Just watch it is posted tomorrow! HA
