We had a fun Easter weekend. I love a good hunt in the desert. I grew up with my dads side of the family getting together for an Easter egg hunt by Yuba lake. We have many small traditions with in that tradition that makes me nostalgic for it every year!
This year we had a great hunt with my moms side of the family. It was in the desert, and a couple of times the eggs just weren't worth the pain to try and get, literally since some of the eggs fell into cactus', (cacti??). Owen got some thorns in his palm at one point, and after that all eggs were "too owey" to get.
There were a few of us pregnant this year, the two girls on the ends are my second cousins, the other is my first, the one who I always came to visit in the summer growing up and who introduced me to my husband. Aren't we the cutest beached whales you've ever seen. :) JK those girls look fab, that is just how I feel! (with 3 more months to go, yeah). FYI I think we are all having boys! (I am not sure about the one pink shirt, black pants, but the rest are boys).
On Sunday we had a yummy ham dinner with some friends, then another hunt in our back yard. Only this time it was of a spiritual nature. We had a good program, opening eggs that had the events of the last hours of Christ's life. I am loving how much these kids know of their Savior already! I love my Savior, and can't wait to see him again, with my whole family as was made possible, through his sacrifice, if we live by his words.
Hope everyone had a happy Easter!
