Christmas Vacation (better late then never)

There's no place like home for the holidays right, and the fact we got to play in snow made this Christmas extra special. Yes, we went to UT for Christmas this year. It was so fun, and just the right amount of cold. Right out of the car the boys got to get some energy out by "helping" Granddad cut up a big branch that fell in a recent storm. Are all children as obsessed with umbrellas as mine are?
Ah Owen, such a funny kid. He resorts to kitty mode when around new people or embarrassed. So here he is in kitty mode and moments latter he got down on all fours and proceeded to crawl through the gutter full of melted snow water.
Seth was in Heaven, I learned that to keep this kid happy just give him a big pile of snow, and a shovel!
Christmas Eve was off to a good start, especially for Owen who is in the stage of loving to be read to! Yeah for Grandma!
Then off to the slopes, or a hill with patches of snow for sledding fun. Too bad we didn't have any cherry flavored syrup since Owen we so keen on eating the snow.
Isaac took a minute to warm up to this activity, but leave it to Daddy to get him on a roll.
Speaking of Daddy :) Woo Woo!
But Seth needed no encouragement. He hit the slopes running and never looked back.
After a yummy family dinner (too bad I was too busy stuffing my face to take any pictures!) a new tradition for us, leaving a note and plate of goodies for Santa, commenced. Courtesy of Seth, Santa knew exactly what he wanted for Christmas. Translation:
Dear Santa, I would like sword that turn purple, and blue from K-mart. Thank you Seth.
His wording and idea to give Santa the exact description. :) I am so proud.
Then we had some reindeer food to leave for Santa's hard working reindeer.
You can image Santa's plate wouldn't last long if left unattended!
Good morning, and Merry Christmas. The long night is over (not so long for some of us over 5 years old!). The traditional waiting to sing 'We Wish You A Merry Christmas' to Grandma and Granddad dressed in bed is about to commence, then on to present opening!
Yeah, Santa came through!
For all of us!
The other request for Santa: Pillow Pets. And again Santa delivers.
We had a great Christmas, hope you all did too!

My kids love umbrellas too, In fact Santa has even put them in their stockings before!
