Change Of Plans
Well, we did have plans to go to UT for Christmas, visit friends in Cedar City on the way, drop Dave at the air port so he could go to MX with his brother Shane till Christmas Eve, pick him up have a white Christmas with my family, then go to Yosemite Nat. Park on our way to San Diego, then home, exhausted, but full of fun memories of a Christmas vacation well spent. THEN. . . we discovered Yosemite gets tons of snow and multiple roads would be closed. So not worth the drive out of our way. THEN. . . Dave was informed he needed a passport to go out of country via plane and with 5 days to go there is no way to get one in time. So poor Dave, no MX trip for him. THEN. . . faced with the realization of driving 12+ hours, with two small children, to UT so see family I saw two weeks ago, and will see again in San Diego in less then 3 weeks. Well. . . what would you do? Basically we bagged the whole thing and will stay home for Christmas, (which I vowed to do forever more anyway a long time ago) and have a stress free, rush free Christmas to then go to San Diego. I guess we were getting a little ambitious with the vacationing. To all you friends in Utah we won't get to see anymore, theres always a summer vacation! Or we have plenty of room here for visitors! :) AZ is awesome in the winter!!!

Sorry again Dave. We'll try again next year.
Shane
Your friends in Cedar City are sad. We were looking forward to see the whole family. Especially the boys but, I would have done the exact same thing! No way to traveling 12+ hours w/kids! I have a hard time driving three! Anyway, we do hope to see you in the near future! Have a Merry Christmas!
Sad...I was looking so forward to it.
