Happy Birthday Old Man! :-o (he hates when I call him that) But it's funny because he is anything but old! He is young at heart in the best ways! He loves to have fun, make friends, and just be goofy. It's becoming a tradition to have fruit pizza for Dave's b-day, and his b-day landed on our taco Tuesday night so we had taco's which is one of his favorite meals anyway. Dave had to blow out his candles with one hand over Isaac's mouth so he could get his wish fair and square.
Dave got a new tie from Seth (Seth picked it out himself). He got socks from Isaac, a church music CD from Owen and a new CTR ring from me. The ring is going back, turns out he would rather his old one fixed, but I kinda knew that already I just wanted to have something CTR-ish there at presents time so he knew I was thinking of him. It's the thought that counts right! :) Anyway so now I need to find a jeweler.
Correction: Dave's b-day fell on a Wednesday, but he was going to scout camp or priesthood encampment wed 4am till late Saturday, so we celebrated on Tuesday. The boys and I secretly made him about 80 cupcakes and delivered them to the camp cooks and they graciously agreed to surprise him on his actual b-day! :) Seth did all the "sprinklers" (sprinkles) himself. And I had to swear him to secrecy, he only mentions the "carrot muffins" once but I think I made some "weird comment" (according to Dave after I explained the slip up) and he brushed it off. :)
Dave said he was genuinely surprised and loved it! As well as everyone else I'm sure. We love you Daddy Dave!
