Seth in action, he was a very focused little boy! He instinctly knew to get as many as he could!

Isaac not so much! I think he spent half the time looking into this one bush trying to figure out how he was going to get that darn egg without getting stuck by the thorns. But once he got it, he was in Heaven, just walking around with an orange egg in one hand and a purple egg in the other.

Then his wise older brother enlightened him on why we bothered to risk life an limb for those eggs in the first place. CANDY!!! Seth may have his short comings but he really is a good boy to share his treats!

The Fam! As you can see since the candy discovery, we pretty much never saw their cute faces looking up again. But we had fun in the desert with my extended family!

I have a friend in the ward who runs a costume rental biz, so we were surprised and lucky enough to have a visit from the Easter Bunny Sunday evening, Seth did eventually warm up to give her a hug, and Isaac thought she was the greatest as long as mom was with in reach.

All in all it was a wonderful weekend. I think I may have found a new favorite holiday. We had a quiet Sabbath to be together as a family, I cooked a traditional ham dinner, homemade rolls and all. And I found through reading the Bible accounts of Jesus' crucifixion, a renewed appreciation for his roll in my life. I realize how much, and how easy it is to take what pearls I have been blessed with from the beginning of my life-- for granted. And God knew I would and provided so many opportunities to help me refocus my priorities. I am grateful for my life and for the second, third, forth etc. . . chances I get to get it right! I am a continuous work in progress, but with the Gospel, I know what work to do and how and why it will all be worth the toil some day!
